TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This agreement sets forth the terms and conditions pursuant to which Cultural Crossroads, in return for payment by the passenger in the amount specified as the trip price, agrees to provide the service and features as described in the tour brochure, Nordic Adventure to Iceland organized by Cultural Crossroads. A tour leader will accompany the group throughout the program. The total cost of the trip is $5597 per person, which includes a $600 non-refundable tax-deductible contribution to WGBH. The single supplement is $655. A non-refundable deposit of $1555 per person is due upon enrollment. Final payment is due no later than July 6th, 2021.
Air Travel Arrangements
Flights are not included in the cost of the tour. Travelers can book with their travel agent, or Cultural Crossroads can connect you to one. We urge you to check airline cancellation penalties before purchasing airline tickets since departure times and flights can change. Tours can be cancelled due to low enrollments. Cultural Crossroads accepts no liability for cancellation penalties related to airline tickets purchased independently in conjunction with a tour.
Entry/Exit Requirements For U.S. Citizens
Travelers need a passport to travel to Iceland. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry and must have enough blank space to allow for entry and exit stamps. Possession of a valid passport is the traveler’s responsibility. Cultural Crossroads is not responsible for lost or stolen or non-valid passports.
Reservation Procedure
You may register by e-mail: Carrie McDougall: carrie@culturalcrossroads.com or by printing the form off the website, signing and mailing it to Cultural Crossroads, 3689 Whetstone Way, Mead, CO 80542. Registrations will be accepted in the order in which they are received.
Changes in the Itinerary
Cultural Crossroads reserves the right to alter the order of events or to make changes deemed necessary for the comfort, convenience, and safety of the participants. Every effort will be made to adhere to the printed itinerary, but weather conditions, transportation difficulties or other circumstances beyond the control Cultural Crossroads, and the local suppliers could force the cancellation or substitution of events or specific services.
A Note About Costs
Tour costs are based upon current tariffs, currency values, at the time of printing, and based on a minimum number of 16 participants. While we will do everything possible to maintain the listed prices, they are subject to change. Should actual enrollments fall significantly below minimum numbers, a surcharge may be added, if the tour proceeds. Due to fluctuations in oil prices, a fuel surcharge may be added to your tour fee. If changes in currency fluctuate over 10% of the cost there could also be a price increase. Participants will be notified of any price increases at least 30 days prior to departure.
Please note: Should group members invite guests or friends to activities or meals with the group, any costs or charges incurred as a result are the responsibility of the client or individual travelers.
Unused Services & Refunds
No refund or adjustment can be made for any portion of the services not used such as voluntary non usage of hotel accommodations, scheduled meals or any planned activity described in the itinerary.
Single Rooms
Every effort will be made to help connect you to a traveler if you wish to share a room. If none is found, a single supplement will be charged. The number of single rooms are limited.
Photography/video
Participants on the tour may be photographed/videoed for the educational and promotional purposes of Cultural Crossroads and WGBH.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is highly recommended and plans should include emergency evacuation and medical expense coverage, 24-hr worldwide travel and medical assistance. We recommend travelers purchase travel insurance so they are covered in the event of any emergency that may force them to cancel the trip. It is not mandatory that travelers get insurance. Travelers can use any travel insurance provider they wish.
Mobility and Fitness to Travel
Please note that the tour requires that participants be in good physical condition and must be capable of walking without assistance, a minimum of two to three miles over uneven terrain and of climbing stairs that may not have handrails. Participants should have sufficient stamina to keep pace with an active group of travelers on long days of touring.Force Majeure
