HIGHLIGHTS

Join Cultural Crossroads and explore a land of warmth and hospitality, of pleasant curiosity and eager smiles.  Jordan is host to a plethora of ancient civilizations with antique relics and ruins from times past where unique customs and traditions prevail. The events included are all part of an award-winning Eco Incentives® program that reflect the original ways of life, social activities, events and other characteristics of the civilizations that once lived in this ancient land.

Our very special opportunity on this 11-day tour of Jordan is an exclusive visit to the Royal Stables (which not open to the public.) Upon arrival, a catered lunch will be served at the Royal Stables. You will be joined by HRH Princess Alia, daughter of the late King Hussein, who oversees the stables and who will put on private horse show for us. After lunch, take a tour of the stables where you can admire the fine Arabian horses and gain a little insight into Arabian horse breeding in Jordan from one of the people in charge. Another exclusive is a Gala dinner party catered by 5 star hotels at King Hussein Club situated in one of the oldest areas of Amman. You will be joined by a Government official. The King Hussein Club was founded in the late 1950s to in order to encourage the cultural and social activities in the kingdom. All its members are part of the Royal Family and high profile personalities in Jordan.

Other special opportunities include a visit to a local herbologist who will tell you about the ancient Arab medical practices, a private lecture by a professional Arabic calligrapher about the roots of Arabic calligraphy and take part in an interactive session, meet a Shaman who will talk about traditional Arab medical practices, and take herbal tea or coffee with some of the local Bedouin families. You will also meet local artisans and craftspeople, have hands-on experiences with the craftspeople and cook a Jordanian meal, as well as visit so many amazing cultural and historical spots in Jordan including Petra, one of the newest 7th Wonders of the World.

Stay in the 5 star hotels: Four Season Hotel in Amman, Petra Movenpick and the beautiful Dead Sea Movenpick on the shores of the Dead Sea.

The tour is for 8-16 travelers only, so you can enjoy the company of others, or fill the trip with your friends and/or family. Our small group size provides you with special opportunities and private access for unique cultural experiences.

A contribution will be made following your trip to the Jordan River Foundation (JRF), a non-profit Jordanian non-governmental organization (NGO) chaired by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah. It was established in 1995 “to empower society, especially women and children, and in turn, improve the quality of life to secure a better future for all Jordanians…by initiating and supporting sustainable social, economic and cultural programs that empower communities and individuals based on their needs and priorities.”

Don’t miss this beautiful country with its warm people and wonderful cultural riches!
